Personal Art!

These are some of my personal art that I have created during both my 3rd and 4th quarters, as you can see I tried drawing on the spot, when I was at the museum and zoo I would draw my subject from my view. I wanted to practice my life drawing because it’s a good drawing exercise and I heard a lot of professional artists do this. It also helps me with my memory and trying to draw quick since in the animation industry requires you to be fast in your drawing skills. As you can see I switched between realistic and non realistic art styles to practice both of them, also just a reminder it’s very hard to draw while standing because your neck will start to hurt and people will also stare at you awkwardly.

Next time I should draw people, although I have already tried and it’s very hard to not look like a creep staring into their soul. I also want to try timing myself, making myself draw within 5 minutes or less to help me draw without being too conscious of my mistakes or flaws. Which is also good when your subjects tend to move a lot and won’t stay still.

I also have started painting more often, one was made from my imagination and the other one was from a picture I took. The girl sleeping is my sister Jillianne, I took a picture of her since she looked like a princess, this painting took me about 3 hours to finish. I painted it in a cafe since my mom has started this business with her friends called the ARTITAS where we go to small cafes or restaurants and we paint there, all the painting materials are provided by the ARTITAS and while painting you can get snacks and drinks.

The other painting which looks a bit scary is from my mind, I painted two different works before it but was unsatisfied and stared again. I like a bit of gothic horror you see and I guess that got implemented to my art unconsciously until I realized it, you know what they say art is like a window to the artist’s mind. I am very proud of it you see it’s my best painting I’ve ever done in a while although I can’t say my family agrees with me but I don’t mind I am not painting for others I am painting for myself unless I have to paint for people.
