History throughout the Philippines
These artworks I made were for my group project, sadly I don’t have my group mates works so I could only put my own.
Our topic was History throughout the Philippines, at first it was very hard to pick the topic, some of us wanted the agriculture or precolonial of the Philippines and some of us wanted World war or something else. So to make us all happy we decided to do precolonial all the way to the present.
We all picked a topic we wanted, I picked the precolonial, so that’s why my artworks show more indigenous people. So I will add some of my research here.

In Ifugao wet rice terraces characterize Ifugao farming, supplemented with slash-and-burn farming of camote. They are famous for their banaue rice terraces, which becoming one of the main tourist attractions in the country. The Ifugaos host a number of similarities with the bongo so in terms of agriculture, but the Ifugaos tend to have more scattered settlements, and recognize their affiliation mostly towards direct kin in households close to their fields.

The pintadios wear tattoos all over over their body, which led the Spanish calling them “The pintadios” which translates to the painted people. The Visayans also has of practices modern society would consider
