Heat of fusion experiment

My expirement is finding the melting point of the ice and the temperature when the water boils.

Change in phase from solid to liquid, we all know that ice melts at 0 Celsius. This temperature is called the melting point of ice. Water freezes at 0 Celsius( 32 Fahrenheit) That is called the freezing point of water. So in this experiment we are gonna see how much the temperature change in the ice every 15 seconds.

We used a burner, beaker, wire gauze, thermometer, time piece and a ring stand.

1st step is to pack the beaker full of crushed ice. Suspend a thermometer in the ice so the bulb of the thermometer does not touch the bottom of the braker throughout the experiment.

2nd Record the temperature of the contents in the beaker at the start and every 15 seconds.

3rd Warm the beaker with heat source. Stir gently. Be careful not to let the thermometer touch the beaker.

4th Record the phase or phases in the beaker each time the temperature is recorded.

5th Record several temperatures as the water begins to boil.

the temperature of the ice before I added heat is 2 Celsius, the temperature after the ice melted is 24 Celsius. The temperature when the water boil is 100 Celsius.
