Covid Vaccination

If you haven’t heard, there is a pandemic going on since 2019, it is called the coronavirus and it is very dangerous it could infect you and may take your life. We have to take precautions to not get it, the vaccine became available for adults.

Vaccines are a preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases. To sum it up, vaccines are like a miniature weaker version of the virus, to prepare the immune system if you do get the virus. Vaccines are made in labs, but they are not instantly released to the public, they have to reserch it, test it and do experiments, making sure they don’t harm the public. Each vaccine has different ingredients, even if they have same illness, some vaccines may be better than others.

When vaccines became available for teenagers, I got an appointment for my first dose in November at UP Technohub, my vaccine was Moderna. I was frightened, when I was getting shot, I closed my eyes and felt the pain, it was only like a little pinch and I was ok. When I got back home the side effects began, my left arm would hurt, I felt a tad dizzy and my arm felt very weak. When I went to get my 2nd dose last December 6, the line was very quick, and I got vaccinated again, but the side effects for this one is more severe than the first, I had a slight fever, chills, and my head hurt a bit which lasted for 2 days.

But at the end it was all worth it, to be more safe from the virus. ;D
