Agriculture

Agriculture started 10000 years ago, it originated in the Zagros mountain range, which is around Iran and Iraq. Today there are 40% of the planet that is farm land, without agriculture we would starve, and die. Agriculture has helped the people but it does not help the animals so much. Humans take over farms, producing waste, killing the animals, and destabilize the earth, which means we can’t keep expanding our agricultural plans, since if we continue we would kill the earth in the process.

But we can fix this, modern technology has improved, scientists and farmers are working together to improve farming, they are using gps, drone and other aerial imagery.

Technology, is used to help produce food than against it, in Costa Rica farmers intertwined farm land with tropical habitat. In the United States ranches are raising cattle on grass lands, in Nepal new rice production has decreased green house gas emissions. If we adopt less laboring intensive ways, and experimenting, we can revolutionize farming.

If we continue doing the ways we are doing now, then it would be too late to change our habits, and with the growing population, food needs to be produce on a large scale. We must innovate and work together to improve agriculture.
