Celebrating Father’s Day

It’s was Father’s Day! And we began Father’s Day with a morning greeting of course, we then ate breakfast, and we gave our dad gifts, as always I give him a drawing of himself, whilst John gave him a heart card, we then ordered mango cake, Japanese food and bulalo.

I always wondered why do we celebrate Father’s Day. So I googled about it, the reason why we celebrate Father’s Day is to honor our fathers, the same way we honor our mothers, another reason we also celebrate it because to strengthen parental bounds. The person who started Father’s Day is Sonora Smart Dodd, she did it to honor her father, the first Father’s Day started on the third Sunday of June in 1910.
