Physical change experiment
When you mix sugar in water, you make a solution. In making a sugar-water solution, the molecules of sugar becomes separated from each other and become scattered among the water molecules. The sugar dissolves in the water. The physical property of being able to dissolve is called solubility. A substance which does not dissolve in liquid is said to be insoluble.
for this experiment we need sugar, water, beaker, stirring rod, dish and teaspoon.
Place several teaspoons of sugar in a small beaker half full of water, and stir it until water is clear. Pour some of the solution into dish. Set the dish on a shelf or a window still. Observe the dish for a day or two. Record what you observed.
After a few days the sugar came back in some small crystals. The heat from the sun evaporated the water and separating the water and sugar. If we used a Bunsen burner with the sugar water, then it would be faster and the sugar will be very sticky and in a brownish color.
